Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the Second Congress on Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion with international participation under the motto ''Equal in Health''. Croatia has a long tradition of dedication to health, from the health of individuals, to that of communities and the world as a whole. By organising this Congress, Croatia as a country takes over the responsibility of regularly reviewing the current and enhancing the new knowledge, improving the health of its own people and establishing bridges within the international community.

The Congress is organised by the Croatian Society of Public Health in association with the Croatian National Institute of Public Health, County Institutes of Public Health and Andrija Štampar School of Public Health, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. It is based on enhancing the medical knowledge and state responsibility for initiating and encouraging positive changes in human lifestyle. Thus we invite all physicians, regardless of their specialty, and other experts whose knowledge and work include preventive care, to participate in the Congress and make their knowledge optimally effective in improving public health. We will examine social inequalities in health, demographic health, ethics in public health and primary healthcare, strategy for preventive medicine in Croatia, mental health, and examine the position of Croatian public health within the international public health.
